Bio:
I believe in helping clients overcome barriers to be their best selves. I am dedicated to recognizing the impact of trauma in the lives of my clients. Together, we can tailor our work to meet your unique needs—you know yourself and your experiences best, and I will help empower you…

…to make meaningful changes that YOU want to make. I provide a space that is safe and non-judgmental to foster introspection and vulnerability. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand and improve the mental health concerns underneath their addiction. Your substance has been a tool in your kit for dealing with emotional distress, and I’m here to give you healthier, more constructive tools to regulate your emotions so that you can be more in control of your mental health. I specialize in working with addiction, anxiety, codependency, anger management, and trauma. Above all in therapy, I believe in two fundamental things: absolute non-judgment and client self-determination. I am certainly not here to judge you, and I am also not here to guide you—I am here to give you support as you go on your own journey.

Marie Barnard

Licensed Clinical Therapist

mbarnard@homeofnewvision.org

Bio:
My name is Marie Barnard, and I am a Limited License therapist holding a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. My work is rooted in one core belief: that every person who walks through my door deserves…

…to feel truly seen, heard, and understood — without judgment, without condition.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and the lasting effects of trauma. I know that reaching out for help is rarely easy, and I want you to know that taking that step says something powerful about your strength and your desire to heal. My role is not to have all the answers, but to walk alongside you as we work through your experiences together.

My approach is trauma-informed at every level, meaning I understand that the struggles you face today are often deeply connected to the experiences that shaped you. I also believe deeply in the connection between mind and body — that healing isn’t only something that happens in our thoughts, but something we can feel and release through our physical selves as well. By integrating somatic exercises and breath work inspired by yoga practice, I help clients tune into the wisdom their bodies hold, identify emotions that may be difficult to put into words, and gently work through what they find there.

I create a space where your story can unfold at your own pace — a space built on trust, safety, and genuine human connection. You are not a diagnosis or a problem to be solved. You are a whole person, and that is exactly how I will treat you.

Joshua Mietelski, LLMSW, MBA, CAADC

Licensed Clinical Therapist

jmietelski@homeofnewvision.org

Bio:

Josh believes that behind every challenge lies a cause worth understanding. He views therapy as a space for both healing and discovery—where uncovering the “why” is just as important as addressing the “what.”

Before entering the mental health field, Josh enjoyed a…

…successful 20-year career as a financial advisor, where he built lasting client relationships founded on trust and understanding. This experience laid the groundwork for his clinical practice, strengthening his ability to connect deeply with clients and guide them through meaningful personal growth.

In 2020, Josh earned his Master of Social Work degree, following his bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration in 2011. He also holds the Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) credential. His clinical experience spans inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment, hospital-based therapy, and private practice work.

Josh is passionate about working with a diverse range of individuals, helping clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. His approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical—focusing on identifying the root causes of distress while building the tools and insight needed for lasting change.

At the heart of Josh’s work is a simple belief: healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
