Home of New Vision is proud to offer training and educational opportunities that are approved by the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). Professionals in the addictions field require ongoing skill development and training in order to be informed of the most up-to-date evidence-based practices. Moreover, addiction professionals are in many cases required to obtain certification with respect to their specialties. In Michigan, MCBAP maintains the following mission: To provide public protection and promote quality services through certification of professionals engaging in the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug problems and the assessment and treatment of addictions.
As a part of the certification process, professionals are required to complete training/education regarding certain topics, with each credential requiring a different amount of training hours. Visit Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) for specific requirements. At Home of New Vision, new training sessions meeting MCBAP requirements occur throughout the calendar year, with upcoming opportunities posted below.
