This position functions as a part time clinician/clinical case manager in a unique SBIRT program. Located half time at an Ann Arbor Federally Qualified Health Center, the incumbent will provide brief screening and intervention utilizing the SBIRT model. The 2nd half of the position is working with and providing therapy for opiate addicted clients who are participating in a pilot MAT program. May conduct group therapy. Some flexible scheduling is available, so long as the schedule meets the needs of the agency and population served.

    DESCRIPTION:
    Documentation in medical records, according to the policies and procedures of HNV.
    Tracking services for billing reports.
    Maintains necessary licensing and certification requirements for credentialing.
    Provides 1:1 therapeutic services for SUD and co-occurring clients.
    May provide group therapy.
    Providing aftercare planning and follow-up services.
    Providing SBIRT services in partnership with a local Federally Qualified Health Center.
    Prepares written reports as needed.
    Coordinating and providing transportation as needed.
    Providing therapy to outpatient clients participating in MAT.
    Participates in general staff activities (i.e. staff meetings and clinical case consultation).
    Participates in performance reviews as appropriate.
    Other duties as assigned by Clinical and/or Associate Clinical Director (s).

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s Degree in social work is REQUIRED with a CAADC or willingness to file a plan.

    EXPECTATIONS: The employee will be available to clients/staff in arranging transportation, therapy and other services for clients. Must possess good time management skills, good judgment in evaluating of clients, ability to present in a professional manner at meetings and provide professional and appropriate feedback on client progress. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Have current working knowledge of laws pertaining to the field. Have strong therapeutic and documentation skills.

  • Peer Recovery Coach
    Application for Employment

    Home of New Vision is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to work with people in or who are seeking, recovery from a substance use disorder. The ideal candidate will be CCAR trained or have other applicable training in peer recovery coaching; be in long term (at least 2 years) recovery from a substance use disorder and have the ability and willingness to meet clients at whatever stage they are in, while assisting them in their recovery journey. The candidate must be open to a "multiple pathways" philosophy of recovery. The nature of this position requires that the Peer Recovery Coach have a driver license and willingness to transport clients. At times, duties will be performed outside of normal business hours (which may entail going to local emergency rooms to meet with people in crisis or taking phone calls for people in need of support). The candidate must also be comfortable with documentation and have average computer skills in order to perform the duties of the position. Please respond with a cover letter and resume.   • Treatment Court Coordinator

    Home of New Vision, a non-profit behavioral healthcare provider located in Washtenaw and Jackson Counties, is seeking a part time Treatment Court Coordinator/Clinician for our Ann Arbor office. This position is a member of a team that works with various local treatment courts including veterans, mental health, human trafficking and drug court involved clients.

    Duties include attending team meetings and court proceedings and providing information about client progress and needs, coordination of care with other team members and HNV staff, tracking client attendance, assisting in accurate billing for services rendered, arranging for admissions into treatment, and performing level of care assessments for incoming clients and incarcerated clients. Strong documentation and communication skills are necessary to be successful in this position.

    This position may also provide support to the clinical team by providing therapeutic services and Assessment and Referral Services. Therefore, only those with an LLMSW or LMSW will be considered for this position, with a LMSW strongly preferred.

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present well, both professionally and personally, are required. This position will interact closely with judges, attorneys, probation officers, other treatment providers and other members of treatment teams, so the ability to work independently is important as well as professional presentation and the ability to foster strong connections to other members of the teams. Being comfortable in criminal justice proceedings is necessary.

    This position is currently 29 hours per week, hours are somewhat flexible, but attendance at all treatment team meetings and court proceedings for the treatment courts, as well as clinical supervision is a requirement.

    Program Assistant (Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti) Home of New Vision (HNV), a non-profit substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment program, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan is seeking a part time Program Assistant. The program assistant is responsible for performing a range of direct services to clients at the Residential/Detox Program in Ann Arbor or at the Engagement Center in Ypsilanti. Shifts may vary, are predominately afternoon and midnight, however occasional day shifts may be required depending on need. Weekend and holiday hours will be required on a rotating basis.

    Key Duties include:
    • Client Supervision
    • Vital signs
    • Meal Preparation
    • Charting
    • Non-therapeutic group meetings
    • Driving clients to community support group meetings
    • Answering telephones
    • Assisting with laundry and cleaning
    • Other duties as assigned

    Experience working in a recovery setting or similar facility preferred. A willingness to assist clients in early recovery is required. Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. Must be sensitive to client needs, willingness to abide by agency guidelines, have the ability to learn and use electronic health records. A valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record as well as the ability to pass a background check, are also requirements of the position.

    Work is performed in a typical 2-story home, so the ability to climb stairs and carry on the physical requirements of assisting and lifting individuals on occasion or emergency situation is required

    This position is part time, 16 to 24 hours per week with some weekend and holiday (holiday shifts are paid at time and a half) shifts included. Hours are predominately MIDNIGHT or AFTERNOON shifts, however occasional day shifts may be required.

  • Contractual Therapist

    Home of New Vision is In search of a contractual therapist to provide assessments, individual and group therapy to individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The hours for this position range from 20-40 hours weekly, with a reimbursement rate of $50 for each assessment, $50 for each group and $27 for each individual session.

    Requirements for this position include a valid LMSW license from the state of Michigan, personal liability insurance (or the willingness to obtain if hired) and at least two years of experience working as a therapist. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of evidenced-based practices, strong documentation skills and the ability to work with individuals from an array of cultural backgrounds.
